Stephen Hsieh, MD, is an expert physician specializing in internal medicine. He brings more than 20 years of clinical experience to High Rock Internal Medicine in Lexington, North Carolina.
Dr. Hsieh is the founder of High Rock Internal Medicine. His individualized approach to patient care and his caring, friendly demeanor have inspired loyalty in patients of all ages since the practice opened in 2000.
In addition to his work at High Rock Internal Medicine, Dr. Hsieh is committed to providing health care to vulnerable and underserved populations. He works actively with Community Care of North Carolina (CCNC), for which he was honored with the inaugural Health Care Quality Award by CCNC in 2014.
Originally from California, Dr. Hsieh received his Bachelor of Science degree in zoology from Duke University in Durham, North Carolina. He remained in the state to complete his medical degree at the Wake Forest School of Medicine, Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem and his residency in internal medicine at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem.
Dr. Hsieh remains committed to promoting and preserving the independent practice of medicine by serving as a managing board member of CCPN as well the Board of the Aledade Piedment ACO and the Cigna Healthspring Piedmont Key Council.
Dr. Hsieh serves as the vice chairman of medicine, as well as on the Peer Review and Credentialing Committee at Wake Forest Baptist Health – Lexington Medical Center. He serves on the Physician Assistant Advisory Council at the Wake Forest School of Medicine. He also holds volunteer faculty professorship appointments with the Physician Assistant Program at Wake Forest University and High Point University in Winston Salem and High Point, North Carolina, respectively.
Dr. Hsieh is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
